Make It Happen Monday: A “Yes” Is Not a Client

You have a great call. They like the offer. They tell you they’re ready to move forward. And then... nothing. No payment. No agreement. No next step. The Mess This happens all the time. We hear “yes” and mentally count the sale. But there’s still a gap between someone saying they want to move forward and actually becoming a client. Maybe they got busy. Maybe the payment link got buried in their inbox. Maybe they had one more question. Maybe nobody followed up because everyone assumed it was done. The Miss A verbal yes feels like the finish line. It’s not. It just means you need to make the next step really easy. The Move Think through what happens right after someone says yes. Do they immediately get the agreement? Do they get the payment link? Do they know exactly what happens after they pay? And if they don’t finish the process, does someone follow up... or does the whole thing just sit there? You don’t need to chase people. You just need a clear process. The Machine Inside HighLevel, that can be pretty simple: Consultation → Yes → Payment / Invoice → Follow-Up → Paid → Onboarding Once someone agrees to move forward, the next steps can happen automatically. And if they don’t complete payment, you can have a follow-up in place so the opportunity doesn’t just sit there. Make It Happen Go back and look at the last few people who told you they were ready to move forward. Did every one of them actually pay? If not, look at what happened between “yes” and “paid.” That may be one of the easiest gaps in your process to fix.
